The Friends of Indonesia will organize its second Charitable Dinner event on 14 February, 2010, to take place at the Korea Garden Restaurant, (470 Rideau Street, Ottawa, ph: 613-789-5496), from 18 hours to 21.30 hours. The purpose of this event is for us to have a good time together, and essentially to raise funds for the Haiti Earthquake Disaster.
The FOI wishes to invite friends and members to join us for dinner, followed by an Indonesian Traditional Dance Performance as well as a “sing a long Karaoke,” at a cost of $39.95 per person. The funds raised that evening will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross to help the earthquake victims in Haiti. We realize that our contribution may just be a drop in the ocean, but it is a profound symbol of our sincere care in order to share our grief and sympathies to help victims rebuild a new Haiti from their ruins. We anticipate the presence of a representative from the Haitian Embassy as well.
